Education and financial aid professionals working directly with families know first-hand the issues and concerns facing today's students. The MDHE facilitates advisory groups which provide insight and advice, helping Missouri state services be as effective, targeted, and efficient as possible.
- College Access Advisory Committee - the purpose of this committee is to advise the MDHE regarding its outreach, access, and success services and materials. This committee is comprised of college access professionals, financial aid officers, high school guidance counselors, and other educational professionals committed to increasing Missouri’s college-attainment rates or serving at-risk youth historically underrepresented in higher education. The CAAC is expected to meet two times a year, with the first meeting to be scheduled in the fall of 2013. Meetings will generally occur in mid-Missouri during the middle of the day to minimize out-of-the office time and travel for committee members.
- State SFA Committee - this committee is a formal, standing committee to the Coordinating Board for Higher Education (CBHE) and is missioned with identifying needed processing improvements and program changes for Missouri's state aid programs.
