Applications being accepted for St. Louis Community College Board of Trustees
New law calls on state higher education board to select 7th trustee

Applications currently are being accepted by the state Coordinating Board for Higher Education to fill a new spot on the St. Louis Community College Board of Trustees.

Legislation signed into law this year directs the Coordinating Board to appoint a member to the STLCC board. The appointee will become the seventh member of the board. The new member will have the same rights and responsibilities as the six elected members of the STLCC Board of Trustees.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and be a registered voter of the St. Louis Community College District for at least one year prior to the appointment.

Applications will be accepted through Jan. 4, 2016. Instructions for submitting an application can be viewed at dhe.mo.gov/cbhe/Appointments.php.

The Coordinating Board plans to appoint the new trustee at its Feb. 4, 2016, meeting in Jefferson City.

St. Louis Community College has four campuses that offer more than 100 career programs and 15 college-transfer options.
