The corequisite initiative aims to increase gateway course completion within a student's first year of college, by enrolling entering students into college-level math and English courses. Corequisite provides those who need additional help with a concurrent course or lab that offers academic support. This reduces the time to completion and helps cut the cost for students to pay for non-credit bearing courses.
